In the design of Coupang primary and secondary product images of remote controls and mobile phone-shaped teethers, we organized the content around dual styling and tactile details. Through black subjects, colored buttons, white backgrounds and close-ups of characters, product identification, partial descriptions and scene information are arranged at different levels, allowing readers to continue to understand the products in a clear sequence.

Design challenge: Separate different reading tasks

This set of primary and secondary product images should not only retain the appearance identification of the remote control and mobile phone-shaped teether, but also accommodate different themes such as dual shapes and tactile details. Instead of letting each picture carry all the information repeatedly, we separated the whole, parts and scenes, and controlled the distance between titles, pictures and descriptions.

Our design strategy

We use black subjects, colored buttons, white backgrounds and close-ups of characters to establish a continuous visual language so that the subjects can be clearly identified from the background. The title uses an obvious font size and weight hierarchy, and the supplementary description is relegated to the next level to avoid decoration, photos and text competing for attention at the same time.

In terms of content organization, we divide chapters according to the themes of real works: use larger pictures to establish overall relationships, use parts and diagrams to explain details, and then use bounded text areas or lists to organize supplementary information. Each image has different responsibilities, and consistent margins and information placement maintain the continuity of the entire set.

Remote control shape: Use front and back sides to establish product identification

We put the front and back sides in a staggered position, and the baby’s small picture provides situational reference. The white background is left blank to protect the slender outline, and the colored buttons become the focus of recognition on the screen.

Character scene: The icon returns to the upper index

We let the interaction photos between adults and babies occupy the main body, and the top row of icons carries the theme. Large pictures and small icons are arranged in separate layers, so text does not overwhelm hand movements.

Partial puzzle: the middle circular frame connects different perspectives

We divided the front, back and close-up views of the buttons, and the central circular window retained the overall reference. Multiple perspectives are unified with a common white background, and there is a clear correspondence between details and the subject.

Dimensions page: Keep dimensions in order along outer edges

We center the product vertically, with the width and height lines close to the outline, and the text at the bottom is arranged separately. Thin lines and large white backgrounds keep spec pages legible.

Dual Shape: Showing two shapes side by side

We put the remote control and the shape of the mobile phone on the same screen, keeping the two close to each other in scale. The unified black base and colored button connection series also retain obvious appearance differences.

Mobile phone styling situation: division of labor between characters and products

We had the full product occupying one side and a close-up of the character on the other. The relationship between hands and keys remains visible, and less text keeps the image more focused.

We reorganized the grid using the front, back and close-up views of the buttons, and the central round frame echoes the remote control version. Shared typography keeps the two looks consistent throughout the collection.

Material theme: use close-ups and schematic graphics to form layers

We placed both products on a light spherical element, with the text focused on the lower strip. The relationship between light and dark emphasizes surfaces and edges, complementing the subject without interfering with form recognition.

Deliver and design value

Through this set of 8 product pictures, we establish a continuous reading path around dual shapes and tactile details. The black body, colored buttons, white background and close-ups of characters connect different chapters. The image scale, text level and white space jointly distinguish the priorities, allowing the product overview and local descriptions to complement each other.
